O, Come, Let Us Adore Him!

In this busy time of year we want to make lists for shopping, presents to buy, places to be lest we say, “I forgot.” We are reminded in Advent that God says He will never forget how much He loves us by the present He sent to us…His Son. That present was announced by the first Christmas greeting to the Shepherds by the Angel, “Fear not for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be for ALL people. For there is born to you this day in the City of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” What was their response? They couldn’t wait!  “Let us go NOW to see…” And they went and found the long promised Savior born to bring forgiveness and peace. The Shepherds, Mary and Joseph likely shared their stories with each other about this miracle. The Shepherds shared their excitement with everyone they saw and Mary pondered all these things in her heart. May our response not be lukewarm but burning with the desire to give Him our PRESENCE this Christmas to go now to worship and adore Him.
